In terms of performance, the paper offers robust water resistance and permeability resistance, while maintaining high air permeability. This unique combination effectively wards off the formation of "wet bags" during and after sterilization, a common issue that can compromise sterility.
When it comes to microbial protection, it excels in both penetrability (allowing sterilizing agents to reach the contents) and bacterial barrier efficiency (preventing recontamination post-sterilization). This dual functionality makes it ideal for packaging medical instruments prior to sterilization. Importantly, it can keep the sterilized instruments within the packaging in a sterile state for an extended period after the sterilization process is complete.
